Partial subtitle shifter

Shift only part of a subtitle file: everything from a chosen point onward, or just the cues inside a time range. This fixes subtitles that drift as the video plays, or a single section that is off while the rest is fine.

When part of a file is off

Sometimes only a stretch of subtitles is out of sync. A recap or advert may have been cut, pushing everything after it out of time, or a single scene was re-timed. A partial shift moves just the cues you choose and leaves the rest untouched. Enter a start time to move everything from that point onward, or a start and an end time to move only the cues in between, then set the offset the same way you would with the regular Shift tool.

Times accept MM:SS or HH:MM:SS (a plain number of seconds works too). It runs entirely in your browser and changes only the timing, so SRT, VTT, ASS, and .sub files keep all of their other structure and styling.

FAQ

My subtitles drift further out of sync as the video plays. Can this fix it?

Yes, in one direction. Set a start point around where the drift becomes noticeable and shift everything from there onward, then repeat with a later start point if needed. If the drift is smooth and grows the whole way through, the Framerate tool is usually the cleaner fix, since it rescales the timing instead of moving one block.

How do I shift only one section?

Fill in both the from and up-to times to define a window. Only cues whose start time falls inside that window are moved; everything before and after stays exactly where it was.

Does it work with .ass and .sub files?

Yes. It works on SRT, VTT, ASS, and both kinds of .sub, changing only the timing of the cues in your window and preserving all other structure and styling. Everything runs in your browser with no upload.
